GROUNDBREAKING BEGINS FOR A GREEN-CERTIFIED HIGH-RISE TOWER IN DOWNTOWN ST. PETERSBURG’S ARTS & INNOVATION DISTRICT

The Salvador will be a green certified condominium tower in Downtown St. Pete

St. Petersburg, FL, July 22, 2015 — DDA Development began breaking ground this week to commence the construction of The Salvador, located in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg’s Innovation District. Once built, The Salvador will be mixed use 13-story, 74 home condominium tower with over 3,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. The Salvador will become residential cornerstone of this neighborhood, which is home to the world famous Dalí Museum.

The Arts & Innovation District of Downtown St. Petersburg is experiencing tremendous growth, and DDA Development wanted to ensure The Salvador’s overall design and functionality would enhanced the neighbor’s landscape.

The Salvador will incorporate sustainability into its unique Salvador Dalí art-influenced design. The eco-friendly building will have Energy Star roofing, high-efficiency air conditioners and water heaters, native Florida landscaping with low-flow irrigation system and a resident recycling program. Residents will be able to conveniently walk or bike to any of Downtown St. Pete’s grocery stores, restaurants, craft breweries, world-famous museums or local parks.

The Green-certification distinctly sets The Salvador apart from other residential buildings in the area with its commitment to sustainability practices that provide environmental and economic benefits.

“I am personally thrilled with DDA Development’s commitment to construct a Green Certified building in Downtown St. Petersburg. The City of St. Petersburg is committed to sustainable practices,” said City Councilwoman, Darden Rice, who spearheaded the adoption of the curbside recycling program in 2014 and chairs the city’s new environment and sustainability committee.
